220 Carter

Page history last edited by PBworks 15 years, 11 months ago

220 Carter is an 4x4 lot, costing $163,206, fully furnished.

Originally called The Cedars, this three-story manse stood on hundreds of acres of land. Over the years, the land was parcelled off, and the house itself passed out of the original family's hands. It's still in fine condition, and has been elaborately redecorated by its wealthy owners who purchased 220 Carter two months ago... and packed up their children and fled at the start of the Crisis.

Floor plan, first:

This floor has a comfortable guest bedroom (originally a music-room), a spacious kitchen and separate dining room (with a smaller room meant to be used for organization by the servants while waiting on table), a welcoming great room, and an airy entryway with steps leading to the second floor.

The kitchen also has an exit to the back veranda.

Floor plan, second:

One of the things that the current owners intended to do within the next month was add a half-bath (or maybe two) to the second floor. At the moment, much to the family's dismay, the only bathroom is attached to the master suite. Fortunately, there are two smaller bathrooms on the first floor.

The second floor has a small study, and a nursery, in addition to two large bedrooms. Any of these could be refurnished and repurposed, of course.

A pair of double doors lead to a narrow balcony, which has a staircase leading to the top floor.

Floor plan, attic:

In its original incarnation, these rooms would have been used by the servants. The current owners meant to reconstruct them to be used exclusively by the children.

In the days of the Crisis, it is possible that it would make a sound hiding place....
